Why Weight?
Bloom the owl, the friendly guide of Why Weight?

Affirmations & meditations

A few borrowed voices for the days you don't want to read anything. Put one on while you cook, walk, stretch or lie flat on the floor — all perfectly good ways to listen. Nothing here asks you to change your body; it's company for the walk, not a plan.

These videos are made by other people and hosted on YouTube. We picked them for their kind tone, but you're allowed to switch one off ten seconds in if it isn't for you.

If you'd rather talk to a human

NEDIC — the National Eating Disorder Information Centre — runs Canada's national helpline by chat, phone and email. It's free, confidential, non-diet and non-judgemental, and you do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or a crisis to reach out. They also help family members, friends and people doing school projects, and they can point people outside Canada toward local services.

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please call your local emergency number or a crisis line right now — that's the faster door.
